About Me

I trained in textiles at Huddersfield University, leaving with a degree in BSc(Hons) in Textile Design.

Alongside my 10 year career in Design and Marketing, I continued to create bold, hand painted bespoke artworks for friends and family, taking inspiration from several areas, including my travels in Europe and South America, nature and generally day to day things I find exciting. It is my passion for art, colour and design that inspired me to create ‘The Home Art Studio’.

The Home Art Studio is a new business founded in 2007 by myself, Nikola Millard. It is my aim to offer affordable art in a bold contemporary style, alongside a commission service to focus on your ideas and turn them into unique, keepsake pieces of art.
